We know that it can be hard logging time at the gym just so you can build up your quadriceps. Yes, that’s the accepted part of the bargain that we made with our—Whom is it exactly?—our conscience? Well, whoever that imaginary being may be, we wish him/her well.
Anyways, it can be really depressing if you think that you have lifted all that you can and you still have nothing to show for. It makes you question yourself if it’s even worth the couple of hours that you have to spend at the gym enduring the suffering, the sweat, and the stink. Well, let us tell you that it is. You have started already, so quitting while you’re ahead makes you a… well, a quitter, basically. Technically, you’re doing the basics right. It’s your “execution” that needs some fine-tuning. So, please continue reading ahead, since we will share with you the “tips and tricks” on how to gain muscles quickly for your body. No, no, don’t thank us; that’s just the kind of people we are
Some of these tips are really no-brainers. The first thing that you have to think of when you’re not “gaining” is maybe you’re just not eating enough. Call us stupid, but isn’t the point of body building to gain as much body and muscle mass as humanly possible? Well, if you just eat a “square” set of three meals each day, then all of those calories will be essentially lost just by sweating a lot. If you think that you don’t have the “gut” for it, then try drinking a protein supplement. If you don’t believe us, just ask Ah-nuld.
Now, this is a tip where you may be entirely taken by surprise: you have to “cut” your hours working out. Have we got your attention now? Good. The science behind this is quite simple. If you “exercise” a muscle frequently, you will stimulate it to the point that it will hypertrophy or it will grow in size. But if you “exercise” a muscle for seven days a week, once in the morning and once during the night, then you’re essentially going nowhere. Not only are you hastening the process by making your body lose weight fast because of this torture of yours, but basically, you’re not allowing that muscle to “recover” and heal enough to adapt to the sudden change in its activity. If you just won’t like to be held back from your sworn mission of achieving your perfect body, then at least put a little “variety” in your exercises; instead of “doing” your quadriceps for this day, why not try working on your upper body for now? It’s quite important that you do not have to exhaust each and every muscle in your body. An important part of “growing” is “healing”, and here we are thinking that it only applies to an emotional resolution at the end of a romantic movie. Pretty cool, eh?
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, you can ask your trainer or physician of some other “tips” on how to make your muscle mass grow much faster. Have a rewarding workout!

Health supplements are not just a clever marketing ploy that some multi-billion dollar corporations have “invented” just so they can live off our hard-earned money. On the contrary, some of these are necessary dietary supplements that are essential in making up for any “lacking” nutrients that we do not have in our bodies. Seriously, you just can’t expect to find that your favourite bag of potato chips suddenly containing proteins, don’t you? Sure, our lives may have become more convenient compared to those days of yore when our ancestors need to chop wood and fetch a pail of water from the well, but man… we really did grow “soft” as a whole, didn’t we?

And from that last statement, there then comes another remedy for that “softness” of ours: bodybuilding. Really? Don’t they portray bodybuilders in films and TV as lunkheads in general? Well, if they are really such “lunkheads” as some people would depict them to be, one of them cannot be a governor of a certain sunny city in the West, can they? (Well, it may help you also marry yourself into a political clan.) But nevertheless, body building is not just a mere vanity project for people who are obsessed with weight-to-fat ratio. It can build up your body’s immunity by making your body more “resistant” to the strain of any stress or disease out there, plus it will not hurt anyone if you make yourself look good, yes?

So, now that we have convinced you to pick up a dumbbell for probably the first time in your life, you still need something more to make the “package” complete, so to speak. So this is where the necessity of health supplements come in. Like we have said above before, these muscle supplements do just more than make your arms look bulky; it contains some specific vitamins and minerals that your body didn’t realize it has to need before you started lifting weights. But lest we be mistaken for peddlers who sell “steroids” or human growth hormones, we’re having none of that! We’re talking about some pretty legit stuff here, see? It’s important that though your aim is to sculpt your body to perfection, it’s just as imperative that you do it the “old-fashioned” way, unless you want to look freakishly huge… and we do not mean that as a compliment, by the way.

So, with that in mind, we take a look at what the important supplements you need to know in your young bodybuilding life. Obviously, the first thing that should enter your mind when we’re talking about these is proteins. But it’s not just any proteins, mind you; you don’t want to end up like Cartman from South Park being all ballooned up and thinking he’s the buffest guy in the world. Of course, you have to choose your supplements well enough to know that these can actually benefit your body. And so the most obvious thing is to start with a whey protein supplement, which can either come in a form of a “protein shake” or a pill. It’s guaranteed, I tells ya! Other than that, some supplements that you may have to take note are MaHuang, vanadium, ketoisocaporate, alpha-ketoglutarate, leucine, beta-ecdysterone, ornithune alpha – ketoglutarate, and hydroxycitric acid, among the most common.

Okay, so you got all of that? Then go be like Samson (the long hair can be optional), build your body to perfection, and then go topple some pillars! Well, it’s not exactly that we’re telling you that you have to destroy buildings, but you get the drift.

While it is enough for some people to be “fit” enough that they will not have to endure any ridicule about the way they look, some of us just have to achieve that sense of “perfection” where absolutely anyone will think twice before making fun of us. You know what we are talking about: it’s bodybuilding!

So why do we have this ongoing obsession with looking like the Greek gods of yore? Well, at least it’s a pretty respectable “profession”. And just think about how many professions list “bodybuilding” as an optional, yet important, component of their training: cops, soldiers, SEALS, professional athletes, and the one sport that arguably benefitted from all of this, mixed martial arts. It’s unavoidable; bodybuilding is a part of the popular lexicon ever since the first Olympiad and ever since the first celluloid Tarzan appeared on a black-and-white reel.

Of course, it just won’t suffice if you’re just straining on pulling and pushing the weights two to three hours a day. If you really wanna make sure that you get the physique that will make any person in a room look at you with awe and reverence, then supplements are the way to go. Currently, there are a clustercuss of supplements—both commercial and “natural”—that are vying for the attention of your pockets. But are health supplements really that necessary just so you can build a “lump” in your arm?

If you want the immediate answer… yes, health supplements are really essential if you want to engage in this pseudo-competitive profession of bodybuilding. You just can’t expect to build muscle mass rapidly when you’re doing weights. Not only will that take a lot of time and hard work, but for some people, it may even make them look “skinnier” than before. If what you’re really aiming for is to lose a whole lot “poundage”, then good for you; you just beat half of the roster on any weight-loss reality program that is showing on the tube. But you’re different. You want to look tougher. Meaner. You want to show the world that you have what it takes to show off those “big guns”. Hence, health supplements are really integral to your growth—both figuratively and literally.

The best thing about all of these health supplements is that you do not need to be an experienced “lifter” who has the complimentary bulging veins on their arms to be able to take some of these. For us newbies who are just trying to get into shape, a health supplement is as necessary for us as a fish is to a water; if we really want to “survive”, then it’s almost arbitrary that we have take a daily dose of a health supplement. Also, if you do not want to be branded a “weakling” for the rest of your natural life, a health supplement can also aid your muscle in performing the most intense of workouts with an unusual ease and grace.

So, now you’ve got the skinny on why supplements are an absolute must in any workout regimen. If you want to make sure that you are buying the right ones, please consult your trainer or your doctor.

The physiological process of building muscle is about much more than weight lifting and exercise. The musculature of the human body requires a vast array of nutrients to support muscle strength and growth.

During a workout, muscles break down and must be replaced, to do this a certain amount of vitamins, minerals, and sugars are necessary to utilize proteins effectively and maximize muscle building from working out.

Nitric Oxide
In order for muscles to perform at peak efficiency during a workout, they need all the oxygen and nutrient-rich blood they can get. Nitric oxide, (a.k.a.- NO or NO2) is a free form gas naturally produced by the body upon breaking down the amino acid Arginine. Nitric oxide is used by cells to signal to one another; specifically, it is used to signal smooth muscle cells within blood vessels to dilate. This allows for more blood to effectively reach the muscles during a workout. More blood flow means better performance and more muscle gain.

Nitric oxide comes in a pill or powder, and both have been shown to be equally effective. Xtreme NO is a popular nitric oxide supplement and has shown in clinical studies to improve workout performance and maximize muscle gains.

Creatine
In the past twenty years, creatine has become one of the most widely used muscle building supplements available. It is produced naturally in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas, and is also found predominantly in meat and fish. Creatine is delivered to the muscles through the bloodstream, where it is then converted to creatine phosphate, or phosphocreatine. This metabolite is responsible for replenishing the body’s main source of energy, ATP.

When ATP is used, it converts to ADP for some time before being restored to more usable ATP. High phosphocreatine levels will restore these energy stores much faster, meaning you can work out for longer and build muscle faster.
EFA’s: Essential Fatty Acids
Essential fatty acids are fats that are necessary for muscle growth, but are not produced naturally by the body. Supplementation and proper diet is therefore necessary for a muscle builder seeking the most gain from their workout.

EFA’s can be broken down into two groups, Omega-3 and Omega-6. Omega-9 fatty acids are also necessary but not classified as “essential” because humans can produce a small amount on their own.

EFA’s perform a wide variety of functions that support cardiovascular, immune, and nervous systems. To a muscle builder, these are all vital functions and all play a role in muscle performance and recovery. Some of their functions include regulating vasodilation, transporting oxygen from blood cells to muscle tissue, regulate collateral circulation, regulate water retention and rigidity of muscle cells, anticoagulant of blood cells, smooth muscle regulation, and breaking up LDL plaque buildup inside blood vessels.

All these functions come together during a workout to see users an average of 50% more stamina, improved muscle growth during recovery, faster recovery time, and improved cardiovascular function.

Protein Supplements
Protein is an essential muscle builder that no one hoping to build muscle can be without. Protein is used to repair and replace broken down muscle with a even greater amount of muscle. This is a defense mechanism employed by the body in order to adapt to changing conditions and make it easier to perform the same task next time it needs to be done. People who have enough protein present in the blood during and after a workout will see gains. However, if you don’t have enough protein in the diet after breaking down the muscles, there will be no material with which to repair them, and you will see a loss of muscle mass.

Don’t worry though, as getting enough protein in the diet is not difficult, as they are found predominantly in fish, red meats, and dairy products. Eating enough of the right kinds of these will ensure your body has enough protein to make more muscle. The body is especially hungry for these immediately after a workout, so having a protein shake ready will maximize recovery time and muscle mass.
